About

Doxie Enterprises, LLC is the publishing home for a growing body of fiction rooted in character, consequence, and place.

Founded by Eric Sylvia, Doxie exists first and foremost to tell stories that feel lived in. The company’s focus is on novels and short fiction that blend tension, realism, and emotional weight, written for readers who value substance over spectacle and depth over gimmicks.

At the heart of Doxie’s catalog is the Big Papi thriller series, a gritty, character-driven line of novels centered on loyalty, violence, and the moral cost of survival. These stories are grounded in real-world experience, moving through crime, power, and personal reckoning with a tight narrative focus and an unapologetically adult perspective.

The Big Papi books are written for thriller readers who want authenticity and restraint rather than cartoon villains or easy answers.

For science fiction readers, Doxie publishes the One Tin Soldier (OTS) series, which explores technology, conflict, and human decision-making in high-stakes environments. These novels lean toward hard-edged, idea-driven science fiction, where advanced systems collide with flawed people. The emphasis is not on distant fantasy, but on plausible futures and the human costs that come with progress.

The Chappy Santos mysteries offer another entry point for thriller fans, combining investigative tension with a strong sense of voice and setting. These stories focus on observation, patience, and the slow accumulation of truth, favoring atmosphere and character over flashy twists.

Doxie is also home to the Olivera Family Epic, a multigenerational narrative series beginning with the upcoming novel The Clam Shack. These books step back from traditional genre lines to tell a broader story about family, legacy, work, and identity. Set against coastal life and small, enduring places, the Olivera series is about what gets passed down, what gets lost, and what people choose to protect when the world changes around them.

In addition to its novels, Doxie Enterprises publishes short fiction, including the collection The Legend of Uncle Zeke and other tales of a crusty New Englander. These stories are quieter, often reflective, and deeply rooted in voice and memory. They capture a disappearing kind of wisdom, humor, and stubborn grace, shaped by weather, work, and time.

While Doxie Enterprises may expand into consulting and technology work in the future, the company’s present mission is clear. It exists to write, publish, and protect stories that matter. Stories built with care. Stories that respect the reader. Stories that linger.

A stack of books is neatly arranged in an outdoor setting, likely at a street market or book fair. The focus is primarily on the books, with one featuring a vivid cover image. The background shows an out-of-focus view of the street, with blurred figures suggesting passersby.
